_All Acute Care Adult Specialty units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring capability!_
Join our** **Acute Care Adult Stroke/Neuro ICU, 6-A West!
_Primary Patient Population:_
+ Stroke
+ Minor Neurological Disorders
+ Embedded in Neuro Critical Care Unit
_Primary skills utilized/learned:_
+ Neurological patient care
+ Telemetry monitoring
+ Taking vital signs (i.e. temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and other parameters as instructed).
+ Implementing and/or reinforcing fall prevention strategies.
_Personnel RN will work with_ _:_
+ LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy
_Number of beds on unit:_
+ 12 beds (can flex to 15 beds)

Required Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
+ Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills.
+ Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as a STNA is optional after employment in this position).
+ 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
