Surgical Technician | November Start – Palo Alto

Start Date: November 10, 2025 | 26-Week Contract

We’re seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for a travel assignment at a leading transplant center in Palo Alto, California. This is an excellent opportunity to assist in high-acuity procedures including liver and kidney transplants, working alongside a skilled surgical team in a cutting-edge environment.

Position Highlights

+ Location: Palo Alto, CA

+ Setting: Hospital – Transplant Surgery

+ Start Window: November 10, 2025

+ Contract Length: 26 weeks, with potential for extension

+ Schedule: 4x10s (40 hours/week)

+ Shift: Days

+ Required Qualifications

+ Must be a traveler (permanent address 50+ miles from the facility)

+ CST certification

+ BLS certification

+ 5+ years of Surgical Tech experience

+ Experience assisting in liver and kidney transplant surgeries

+ EPIC EMR proficiency

Additional Compliance Requirements

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

+ Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

+ Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in English required

+ Computer proficiency required

What You’ll Do:

Support transplant surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, assisting surgeons, and ensuring sterile technique. Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver safe and efficient care in a high-pressure, life-saving environment.
