    Salary: $2500 / Week

     

    The Unlicensed Social Worker/Counselor/Mental Health Clinician provides counseling to patient’s in a variety of settings including medical facilities, hospitals, clinics, learning centers and other organizations that are in need of assistance.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contract requirements

    + The Counselor may possess an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or other Human Development Major

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

     
     
     
     
     
     

    Sacramento Behavioral Health Hospital is a cutting-edge psychiatric facility located near Cal Expo. As the first behavioral health hospital of its kind built in Northern California in over 30 years, SBHH is dedicated to delivering compassionate, individualized care for adults with acute psychiatric needs. Services include inpatient treatment, crisis intervention, and support for co-occurring psychiatric and substance use conditions.

     
     

    + Active California credential: ACSW or AMFT

    + Experience working with adult psychiatric patients in a lockdown facility

    + Skilled in managing challenging behaviors and crisis intervention

    + Assigned to the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) unit

    ? Preferred Qualifications:

    + Minimum 1 year of direct clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health settings

    + Strong background in:

    + Patient assessment

    + Risk and safety evaluations

    + Treatment planning

    + Group and family therapy

    + Discharge planning

    + Coordination with external review organizations

    + Familiarity with:

    + Family systems and communication strategies

    + Community resources and continuum of care

    + Clinical terminology and documentation standards

    ? Perks:

    + Supervision hours available

    + Weekly travel pay: $2,500

    + Includes $1,000 taxable income + $1,500 stipends

    + Local Pay - $55/hr
