    CNA School Aide – Afterschool Program

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

     

    Pay Rate: $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience

     

    Employment Type: Part-Time Contract | School-Based Setting

     

    We are currently hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support students in an afterschool program in Montebello. This is an excellent opportunity for CNAs with experience working in schools or with children of all ages who are passionate about making a difference in educational environments.

    Position Summary

    The CNA School Aide provides essential support services to students in various school settings, including one-on-one assistance, classroom support, and health office clinics. Responsibilities may include instructional support, personal care, behavioral assistance, and basic health services. This role operates under the supervision of the district school nurse or a designated clinical supervisor.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist students with personal care needs, including restroom support and hygiene

    + Provide behavioral and instructional support in classroom and afterschool settings

    + Support basic health services in the school health office or clinic

    + Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and inclusive environment

    + Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies

    + Follow guidance from supervising clinical staff and school nurse

    Minimum Requirements

    + Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)

    + Experience working in school settings or with children of various age groups (preferred)

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB clearance (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as required)

    + Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to maintain student confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards
