Salary: $1755 / Week

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Dual Language (Spanish) Social Studies Teacher to join our team and inspire young minds through engaging, standards-based instruction. The ideal candidate will implement daily instructional plans effectively, foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth, and build strong rapport with students while maintaining classroom management. Collaboration with building administrators and fellow educators is essential.

Key Responsibilities

+ Deliver engaging and effective instruction aligned with curriculum standards.

+ Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

+ Implement lesson plans and adapt as needed to meet student needs.

+ Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration.

+ Uphold all professional standards and school policies.

+ Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher (required).

+ Valid Illinois teaching license/certification in Social Studies.

+ At least one year of teaching experience (preferred).

+ Ability to read and implement instructional plans and communicate effectively.

+ Basic proficiency in mathematical concepts.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Additional Qualifications

+ Bilingual Endorsement or ability to obtain Transitional Bilingual Certification.

+ Fluent Spanish speakers with a Social Studies license are strongly encouraged to apply.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

+ Willingness to accept direct responsibility for the safety and well-being of students.
