    PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Helicopter Technician A - Maintenance- Columbus, MS - Maintenance, in Columbus, MS. Job ID#213475

    Job Description:

    Performs schedule and non-scheduled maintenance on UH-72A Lakota helicopters and other airframes as required.

     

    Conducts operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.

     

    Diagnoses malfunctions or failures and makes adjustments, repairs or replacements of parts and/or components.

     

    Performs detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components.

     

    Conducts operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.

     

    Assures that completed work complies with FAA/regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.

     

    Follows all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.

     

    Completes forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work.

     

    Performs troubleshooting to diagnose malfunctions or failures on the following aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.

     

    Education: High School diploma or equivalent

     

    Preferred: Trade school

     

    Experience: Minimum of four (4) years related experience.

     

    EC145, H145 or UH-72 Experience

     

    Preferred : FAA A&P License

     

    EC145 Field Maintenance Course

     

    Safran Level 1 or Level 2 Completion

    Travel Required: 5% Domestic and International

    Citizenship: US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

    Clearance:

    Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

    Required: Basic computer skills.

     

    Read, interpret, and follow written technical data.

     

    Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.

     

    Preferred

     

    Required: Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English

     

    Preferred: Proficient in French or German

     

    Level of Decision Making: This position has safety sensitive decisions on a daily basis. It also requires decisions that affect the delivery and quality of aircraft..
