A Day in the Life
Every day begins with the morning huddle, where you’ll set the tone and direction for your team. From there, your role is dynamic—balancing patient care, staff support, and operational oversight. Whether you’re troubleshooting issues, assisting with patient care tasks, addressing staff concerns, or supporting providers, you’ll be at the center of ensuring the clinic runs smoothly. This role requires someone who can balance being approachable and supportive with holding staff accountable, creating an environment where both patients and employees can thrive.
As the RN Outpatient Supervisor at Logan Health Heart & Lung Cardiology, you’ll play a vital role in leading a dedicated team that provides exceptional care to our cardiac and vascular patients. This is a leadership opportunity for a clinically strong RN who enjoys mentoring others, fostering collaboration, and helping shape a positive and accountable work culture.
Your Role in Action
+ Lead daily morning huddles, reviewing staff assignments and sharing updates.
+ Supervise clinical and clerical staff, ensuring smooth operations and daily workflow.
+ Step in where needed to support staff, including:
+ Assisting with EMR workload, rooming patients, starting IVs, and returning voicemails.
+ Troubleshooting issues and addressing complex scheduling needs.
+ Serve as the first point of contact for upset patients, both in person and over the phone.
+ Manage staff performance through coaching, constructive feedback, and, when necessary, disciplinary action.
+ Oversee scheduling, timecards, and Safety Zone reporting.
+ Help manage provider schedules and ensure alignment with clinic needs.
+ Provide ongoing education, training, and support to staff.
Required Qualifications
+ Licensed RN with strong clinical competence; cardiac care and/or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
+ Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, set expectations, and lead by example.
+ Strong communication skills: active listening, professional conflict resolution, and ability to deliver difficult conversations with respect and empathy.
+ Ability to manage stress effectively and support staff in doing the same.
+ Proactive in identifying and addressing conflicts, encouraging staff growth, and promoting accountability and patient safety.
+ Adaptability to change as the clinic evolves.
Preferred Qualifications
+ ACLS certification.
+ Previous leadership or supervisory experience.

Schedule:
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
