    What you'll bring to the team

     

    As a Rides Engineer, you’ll install, repair, and troubleshoot the tech behind our rides, attractions, and animatronics. From high-speed coasters to intricate PLC systems, you're the behind-the-scenes hero keeping the thrills alive and the fun flowing.

     

    Qualifications & Experience

    Main Responsibilities

    + Prioritize safety in all tasks and procedures.

    + Perform preventive and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime on rides and attractions.

    + Troubleshoot, repair, and follow through on maintenance issues for electromechanical systems.

    + Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and security of all ride equipment and work areas.

    + Inspect rides and attractions for safety hazards and ensure compliance with ASTM, NEC, OSHA, and local codes.

    + Operate tools and equipment such as drill presses, grinders, and power saws.

    + Recognize and address equipment needing repair, replacement, or adjustment.

    + Keep tools and machinery clean and in good working condition.

    + Stay up to date on industry techniques and practices through ongoing training and education.

    + Collaborate with fellow maintenance staff and other departments.

    + Respond promptly to emergency repair calls to ensure guest and employee safety and comfort.

    + Maintain a calm, rational approach under pressure or in emergencies.

    + Mentor and train Ride Engineer I team members.

    + Follow all LEGOLAND Florida policies and procedures.

    + Maintain guest-friendly, service-oriented demeanor at all times.

    Qualifications

    + Minimum 4 years of experience in electromechanical installation, maintenance, and service.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills for rides and animation systems.

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, micrometers, and calipers.

    + Familiar with a wide range of tools, hardware, lubricants, and torque wrenches.

    + Experience with electromechanical systems, including water pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and actuators.

    + Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and practices preferred.

    + Ability to read and assess technical reports preferred.

    + High school diploma or GED (or equivalent education and experience) required.

    + Basic math skills required.
