Who We Are
The Scheduling & Routing team is responsible for planning the capacity for our last-mile delivery network. The Product Manager in this role would work on a complex system that continually optimizes routes, stops, and goods to maximize truck utilization and reduce the cost per delivery. This role and the associated products are essential to Wayfair's logistics ecosystem, ensuring a smooth, cost-effective, and efficient delivery experience for our customers.
What You’ll Do
+ Develop and execute a product strategy and roadmap for our scheduling and routing systems, aligning with Wayfair's overall supply chain and logistics objectives.
+ Partner with supply chain, operations, and engineering teams to understand the needs and pain points of our logistics network and identify opportunities for optimization.
+ Prioritize and implement features that enhance the efficiency of delivery routes, improve resource utilization, and drive down overall delivery costs.
+ Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions, measure product success, and continuously iterate on features to improve performance and cost efficiency.
+ Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, including defining product requirements, creating user stories, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
+ Drive initiatives to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our routing algorithms, incorporating real-time data to adapt to changing network conditions.
+ Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain optimization, identifying opportunities to innovate and maintain a competitive edge.
+ Gather and analyze feedback from internal stakeholders to continuously improve the product and address emerging logistical needs.
+ Set and monitor KPIs for product performance, making adjustments as needed to meet business objectives.
We Are a Match Because You Have
+ 5+ years of experience in an agile development environment, with a strong preference for supply chain, logistics, or operations product experience.
+ 3+ years of product management experience successfully leading and growing teams that are highly effective in business impact and team culture.
+ Demonstrated success in creating products that drive significant business value and optimize operational efficiency.
+ Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience in hypothesis-driven learning and turning complex data into actionable insights.
+ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate a large organization and effectively communicate new ideas and plans to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
+ A bias for collaboration, with the ability to partner willingly and ensure the voices of teammates and stakeholders are heard.
+ An ownership mentality, proactively working to improve your product, its reliability, and plans for its future state.
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ Experience with optimization algorithms, operations research, or large-scale data modeling.
+ Knowledge of running scripts on BigQuery or similar data platforms.
+ Familiarity with mapping technologies.
