Details can be provided during the interview process!_ Responsibilities: + Performs a variety of CT procedures, including contrast administration, and practices and maintains CT safety and protocol at all times. + Administers any contrast required for imaging procedures and assesses patients for potential risk factors prior to administration. + Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture, including proper use of power injectors. + Uses two patient identifiers to identify all patients and documents patient history. + Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked, all patient information is updated and documented, and all charges are entered correctly in appropriate systems. + Interacts and communicates with both patients and co-workers while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect. + Communicates instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner, and explains procedures to help allay the patients’ fears and solicit their cooperation. + Able to work as a team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently. + Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program. + ARRT registry-eligible technologists must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date, and then CT registry within 18 months of primary registry acquisition. + CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date. + Previous experience with Siemens and/or GE technology preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: + ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire. + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
