Ready to dive into the world of Marvel Comics? We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic intern to join our team! This internship is a part-time, six-month commitment in the NY, NY area from January 2026-June 2026.
This isn't just any internship; it's a unique part-time opportunity that offers a distinct experience in the exciting realm of comic book publishing. As our intern, you’ll work closely with our Director of Collection Sales and be right in the middle of the action, supporting key players in our Sales, Metadata Management, and Operations departments as well.
What You Will Do:
We're looking for a dynamic intern who thrives at the intersection of storytelling and analytics. Your enthusiasm for comics should be matched by your ability to translate key features into compelling pitches for our partners, while also diving deep into numbers to reveal the trends that shape our strategies. Responsibilities and potential projects include:
+ **Sales Presentations:** Help create and refine sales decks for seasonal launches to account reps, highlighting key titles and selling points to drive retailer engagement
+ **Polish Catalog Content** : Assist in refining metadata and sales copy for monthly and seasonal catalogs
+ **Contribute to Catalog Development** : Work closely with the Sales and Metadata teams to create and update monthly and seasonal catalogs. You’ll edit metadata, craft sales copy for key titles, and ensure product details are accurate—directly supporting the visibility and appeal of Marvel’s lineup for both retailers and fans
+ **Sales Reporting:** Leverage Excel and Power BI to analyze sales trends, prepare comprehensive reports, and deliver impactful industry insights to management, empowering data-driven decisions to boost revenue and readership
+ **Inventory Optimization:** Collaborate with our Planning team to analyze sales and inventory movement, enabling us to optimize warehouse inventory and prevent stock shortages
+ **Ad Hoc Department Support** : Pitch in on occasional interdepartmental tasks, such as assisting in the print run process or assisting in digital metadata projects, to keep the department running smoothly
Required Qualifications & Skills:
+ **Masterful Communication:** We're looking for candidates with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as your ability to convey insights and collaborate effectively is paramount
+ **Excel Proficient:** You should be an efficient data-driven problem-solver, with experience in data analysis, consolidating data, and data visualization with strong skills in Excel, including the use of pivot tables
+ **Meticulously Organized:** Your organization skills and unwavering attention to detail will ensure that no data point goes unnoticed or deadline missed, making you an invaluable asset to our team
+ **Project Management:** Your ability to seamlessly move between projects and consistently meet deadlines is the cornerstone of our efficient and productive work environment
+ **Presentation Skills:** Experience creating polished, professional presentations for internal or external stakeholders with PowerPoint or similar programs
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
+ **Comics Enthusiasm:** A genuine passion for Marvel comics and the industry is a big plus
+ **Creative Suite Skills:** Experience using Adobe Suite, including PhotoShop
Education:
+ Junior or Senior year preferred
+ Major or previous coursework in Marketing, English, Communications, Business, or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
+ Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
+ Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
+ Be at least 18 years of age
+ Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
+ The approximate dates of this internship are **January 2026 through June 2026**
+ Candidate must be available to work a consistent, reliable part-time work schedule (approximately 21-29 hours per week) during normal business hours Monday – Thursday with at least 3 days of in-office work for the duration of the internship
+ Able to provide own housing & transportation for the duration of the internship program in the NY, NY area
The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
