BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in support to our development efforts in our Terminal High Area Altitude Defense (THAAD) Missile Seeker which is an Infra Red (IR) Program.

This role will support system engineering on the THAAD Development team. In this position, subject matter expertise will be required in the area of database software and seeker test stand support including data reduction software development.Our engineers are members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on developing cost-effective systems that meet the needs of our customers. Candidates should be comfortable working with teams of all sizes and enjoy a mix of creative design work, mentoring the next generation of proteges, developing White Papers and presenting internally and externally.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Experience wtih EOIR

+ Experience with missile systems and guided projectiles

+ Exposure to the development, integration, test, qualification and production of complex electro/mechanical systems

+ Proficent with Matlab and Oracle design tools

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ An active Secret clearance

+ Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior leadership, and other engineering disciplines

+ Ability to understand CONOPS for missile systems

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
