Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership
• Lead a small team of engineers, designers, group leaders, and practice leads.
• Directly manage practice leads and designers.
• Provide guidance without heavy involvement in CAD work.
• Project Development
• Collaborate with clients during the early stages to conceptualize long-term project goals.
• Work with city staff to build consensus and navigate entitlement processes.
• Technical Oversight
• Oversee technical aspects such as grading, stamping, and construction support.
• Ensure quality and compliance without being solely responsible for execution.
• Project Management
• Manage project finances including budgeting and proposal preparation.
• Track progress and ensure alignment with client expectations and timelines.
• Business Development
• Engage in business development activities to grow client relationships and secure new work.
• Team Size Context
• On small projects: lead a team of a couple of people.
• On larger projects: manage teams of 3–5 individuals.
Day to Day:
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager to join the team in Kansas City, MO. Working with a team of engineers in KC and other offices, you would deliver quality projects and provide solutions for our clients’ within the private land development.

Skills and Requirements
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Private land development experience
• 8+ years of experience within Project Management
• PE license
• Kansas and Missouri PE Licensed preferred
• Must have excellent communication, leadership and planning skills, and ability to thrive in a team environment
• Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Attitude and commitment to be an active participant of employee-owned culture is a must
• AutoCAD or Revit knowledge/experience
• Passion to grow into a leadership role • Existing clients to bring with them
