    Job Description

    An employer is looking for strong Java Engineers to help with a few projects including CICD process improvement, removing vulernabilities and increasing code coverage. Responsibilities will include:

     

    • Upgrade existing services from Java 17 to Java 21.

    • Migrate applications to the latest version of Spring Boot.

    • Address and resolve SonarQube violations to improve code quality and maintainability.

    • Increase unit and integration test coverage across services.

    • Collaborate with security and privacy teams to ensure compliance and certification standards.

    • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.

    • Analyze and optimize application performance and reliability.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Strong experience with Java (preferably Java 17, 21 or newer)

    • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture

    • Familiarity with SonarQube and code quality tools

    • Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests

    • CICD and Cloud deployment experience

    • Understanding of security and privacy best practices in software development

    • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and tools like Rest Assured is a plus

    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
