Job Description
A gas turbine company in San Diego is looking for a Supplier Technical Engineer to join their team. The responsibilities include:
-Recommend solutions for quality issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
-Support supplier quality enhancement through collaboration and process development.
-Ensure supplier reliability via controls, certifications, evaluations, inspections, corrective actions, audits, and documentation.
-Identify quality problems and define short- and long-term resolutions with internal teams and suppliers.
-Apply quality processes to qualify new products.

Skills and Requirements
-Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
-2-5 years of experience within quality in a manufacturing environment
-2-5 years of experience with RCCA
-Experience with Quality Management Standards or Industry Certifications -Experience with BIQ & Quality Management System (s)
-Experience with Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Strategies
-Certification in supply chain management (i.e., CPM, APICS, etc.)
-Knowledge and experience using quality / statistical tools and methodologies (e.g. CTQ, SPC, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, FAI, APQP, CPK, PPM)
-Knowledge and ability to read/interpret CAD type drawings, detail drawings, bills of material and other technical product documentation
-Turbomachinery knowledge or experience
