Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Land Planning Analyst (LPA) to support the Environmental Permitting & Workflow (EPW) team. This internal-facing role is focused on permit review and project screening, ensuring that utility construction activities are compliant with environmental regulations and appropriately routed through permitting channels. The LPA will play a critical role in identifying work that qualifies under annual or programmatic permits and does not require agency submission.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct environmental and permitting screenings for utility projects using GIS and internal systems.
• Review construction drawings and project scopes to determine permitting needs.
• Utilize tools such as MapGuide GIS, SAP, Salesforce, PowerBI, and internal portals to assess project risk and compliance.
• Document findings and maintain accurate records to support audits and programmatic reporting.
• Collaborate with environmental subject matter experts (SMEs) and project teams to clarify requirements and streamline workflows.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in permitting processes and data management.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Land Use Planning, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with environmental regulations and permitting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with GIS tools and standard office applications (Excel, Word).
• Ability to interpret utility construction drawings and technical documentation.

• Experience with Salesforce and SAP platforms.
• Background in telecom or utility industries.
• Familiarity with large datasets and Excel functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new technical systems.
