Role Overview
The Healthcare IT Support Engineer provides technical support to internal and external customers, primarily in the medical imaging domain. Support is delivered via phone, chat, email, and remote access, and includes hardware, software, and workflow troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
• Respond to support requests professionally and promptly.
• Explain application functionality and assist with usage.
• Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams on project scope and client needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation and ticketing systems.
• Share technical knowledge and cross-train team members.
• Escalate urgent issues and liaise between support and development.
• Work with radiologists and staff to resolve workflow conflicts.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation every third week (compensated).
Travel up to 10% once ramped up.

Skills and Requirements
• Technical:
o 7+ years of experience as a Support Engineer
o SQL (select, insert, update, commit, rollback)
o Linux proficiency (log navigation, scripting)
o Windows PC and network server environments
o VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack
o Azure and/or AWS
o Web technologies: IIS, JSP, PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript
o Relational databases: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Healthcare IT:
o DICOM, PACS, RIS, HL7, MWL familiarity
o PACS administration or usage
o Understanding of radiology workflows and imaging modalities
Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (1–3 years in technical support; medical field preferred). · Experience in medical imaging operations
• Knowledge of DICOM imaging types (e.g., JPEG 2000 Lossless)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
