    SUMMARY OF JOB

    Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of patients/families and enables patients to utilize health care in order to achieve their optimal level of health.

    RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

    + Master's degree from an accredited school of social work.

    + Current NJ license required

    + 1-2 years Post graduate degree, experience n a health care setting, (hospital/home care preferred).

    + Flexible, sound judgment, customer oriented, organized, keeps professional demeanor at all times.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Available to work flexible hours, with weekends and holidays included.

    + Knowledge of general disease process.

    + Knowledge of family dynamics and interpersonal relationships.

    + Member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, signifying two years of practice under qualified supervision preferred.

    + Able to travel to patient's home within service area.

    + Able to use office equipment; i.e. beeper, car phone.

    + Valid driver's license.
