SUMMARY
Responsible for the designing, implementing, and managing initiatives that enhance the leadership capabilities and overall organizational effectiveness. This role focuses on developing strategies that promote employee engagement, strengthen leadership skills, and drive organizational culture. Key areas of responsibility include assessing organizational needs, creating tailored learning and development programs, managing talent and succession planning processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth. Provide a range of consulting services to executive leaders and senior management for development and implementation of key strategies and initiatives aimed at building a collaborative, engaged, and strategically led workforce in support of the (STPNOC) Business Plan.
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or Organizational Development (Preferred)
• In lieu of the above requirements, 3 years additional experience in a Human Resources related discipline may be considered.
• Master’s Degree and a Human Resources Professional Certification. (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE
• SENIOR – 5 years’ experience in Human Resources or a training and development function. (Required)
• STAFF – 8 years’ experience in Human Resources or a training and development function. (Required)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
• Professional in Human Resources PHR or SHRM-CP (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADERSHIP & ORG DEVELOPMENT:
Ensures leadership and organizational related training is in accordance with Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) accredited training program requirements and related contractor leadership requirements.
• Identifies priority business, process, and behavioral areas for career management and leadership development.
• Leads station initiatives for Leadership and Talent Development.
• Evaluates training programs and instructors based upon academic soundness and industry standards for accreditation.
• Conducts self-assessments.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Individual must have excellent communications skills, facilitative skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate, expresses ideas, and exchange information with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to make effective and/or persuasive presentations. Ability to visualize and creatively translate information into visual media.
• Ability to write using original or innovative techniques or styles.
• Ability to identify, evaluate and design an environment that embraces change and encourages growth.
• Ability to provide station management with tools and expertise in the areas of change management, leadership development and organizational development.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor. Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner. Ability to accept responsibility for section activities and outcomes. Handles sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Sensitivity to emerging issues, both internal and external, which may impact the company.
• Ability to influence others toward action or a particular point- of-view.
• Ability to listen and respond to the thoughts and ideas of others in a non-threatening manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accept ERO position as needed.
• Accept outage position as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
• Travel may be required.
• May be required to carry a phone.
WORK LOCATION
• Hybrid/Remote – Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business needs.
