Senior Dist. & Logistics Analyst
The Sr. Distribution and Logistics Analyst role provides overall support to our internal and external customers to ensure the timely and cost-efficient movement of products from our warehouses to our customers.
The position will coordinate the daily operational activities of the Consumer Healthcare US distribution centers.
This person will work directly with our 3PL team and coordinate warehouse volume activities, regarding customer orders, returns, donations and destruction for Consumer HealthCare.
Demonstrated Logistics and Transportation industry knowledge is required to support the safe, secure and efficient distribution of our products by road and air.
This position will analyze and select both truckload and less-than-truckload carriers from customer satisfaction, service level, cost, security and safety perspective to meet our business needs.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Coordinate analyzing data through charting and monitoring of the distribution/logistics activities by collecting information from various sources and creating monthly graphs to track trends and monitor KPI’s.
+ Maintain inventory accuracy through inventory reconciliation across multiple system platforms WMS/SAP.
+ Coordination and completion of inventory cycle counts and adjustments in compliance with Bayer Internal Controls.
+ Responsible for the clearing and monitoring of the SAP EDI IDOC(s) to ensure timely processing of all EDI transmissions.
+ Coordinate the destruction of damaged and quality suspect products from carriers and customers, ensuring timely and accurate processing by the distribution centers and entering into SAP.
+ Coordinate the donation of returned and short dated materials for Consumer HealthCare to non-profit organizations.
+ Compile and report distribution data for all NDA tracked materials per FDA requirements as well as quality complaint entries for all transport excursion issues in Dev@Com data system.
+ Responsible for transport planning, transport ordering, monitoring of operational progress and associated exception handling, through to freight payment and associated extra cost management (control of invoices which do not match system-based freight and extra costs invoice accruals).
+ Track and trace shipments and expedite / de-expedite as necessary.
+ Responsibility of daily communication with transport and logistics service providers, particularly when making provisions for peaks in transport demand and managing through capacity bottlenecks.
+ Handling of all correspondence and communication associated with transport ordering and execution (e.g. investigation of customer supply chain complaints or claims handling), being the day-to-day interface to our transport- and logistics service providers.
+ To ensure safety logistics operations, maintaining the subgroups’ "license to operate".
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s + 2 years / Masters Degree + 1 year of experience in Transportation, Distribution, Logistics, Product Supply, Customer Service or related field.
+ Must be able to work with and direct the activities of 3rd party operations and logistics providers
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across boundaries and communicate well with 3rd party operations.
+ Flexible and open to new opportunities, even when dealing with ambiguity. Self-aware and curious with a desire to learn, try and succeed
+ General knowledge and understanding of Transportation Law and Rating models.
+ Flexibility to adapt to a fast moving and international environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and self-starter.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in the consumer products industry
+ Experience with SAP
+ Experience utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
+ General Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methods (Six Sigma)
+ Experience in CPG, Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $67,148.00 - $100,722.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
