    Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a **2nd Shift Surface Mount Assembly Technician** to join our team that runs SMT equipment that produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Working knowledge of SMT machines such as: Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand soldering

    + Understanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA’s and how they are processed on a SMT line

    + Experience working under a microscope

    + Hand soldering SMT and Through-hole parts

    + Works to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output.

    + Works independently under limited supervision

    + Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teams

    Basic Qualifications

    + HS Diploma/GED and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.

    + Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experience

    + Knowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board Assemblies

    + Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions

    + Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

    Preferred Experience

    + **Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610.**

    + **Current or prior certification in J-STD-001.**

    + **Experience on SMT equipment and hand soldering**

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
