The School of Accounting at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business seeks to fill one career-line position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Lecturer), Associate Professor (Lecturer), or Full Professor (Lecturer). We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach at all levels, including courses that cover intermediate and advanced topics in accounting.
A graduate degree is required. A PhD or DBA is preferred but may be substituted by relevant work experience. You may qualify for a reduction in teaching load if you are research active and maintain the Scholarly Academic AACSB status. Rank-appropriate academic service is expected, and we especially value individuals who will contribute positively to the School’s climate.
Applications should include a cover letter, teaching statement, curriculum vitae, teaching evaluations (if available), and a list of three professional references (names and contact information). For full consideration, applications should be submitted by November 15, 2025; however, review will continue until the position is filled.
The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, a metropolitan area of about 1.3 million residents at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. Salt Lake City also features a vibrant arts and cultural scene, along with an international airport.
