Utility Worker/ Service Employee

Transdev inLancaster, Californiais hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee.The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle and building servicing duties.We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Non-CBA Position:

+ Competitive compensation package of minimum $18.50 (38,480) – Maximum $20.00 (41,600)

Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior

+ Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles

+ Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids

+ Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes

+ Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.

+ Cleans facility offices and restrooms

+ Cleans and maintains parking lots, bushes and yard areas

+ Report maintenance issues to supervisor

+ Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

+ 1 year or more of janitorial or auto detailing experience preferred

+ 21 years or older

+ Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years

+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

+ Good oral communication skills

+ Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions

+ Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by Material Safety Data Sheets and all other safety training materials provided

+ Ability to learn shop processes including fueling vehicles and cleaning vehicles

+ Ability to mix and use a variety of cleaning products

+ Ability to use a variety of equipment such as buffers, scrubbing machines, and other heavy cleaning equipment

+ Strong attention to details

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

+ The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen, kneeling, lifting, washing, cleaning, exposure to heat, exposure to cold, exposure to rain, exposure to snow, exposure to outdoor weather, standing, walking, arm movements, in vehicle environments, etc.

+ Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.

+ Must submit to drug testing, physical examination, and a criminal background check
