    Job Summary:

    Assists Program Manager with the management of complex projects within a corporate program.

    What You Will Do:

    + Tracking progress according to program schedules and goals; developing solutions to program problems.

    + Participating in the preparations of proposals, plans, and program specifications.

    + Developing the project scope documents, project timetables and other documents that would be provided to Project Managers.

    + Monitoring the scheduling, budget, and performance of company programs.

    What You Will Have:

    **Business Acumen:** Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

    **Planning: Tactical, Strategic:** Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

    **Process Management:** Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

    **Collaborating:** Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

    **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    **Problem Solving:** Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

    **Project Management:** Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

    **Data Gathering and Reporting:** Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.

    Considerations For Top Candidates:

    + **Professional Certifications** : SAFe Scrum Master, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) are all pluses.

    + **Project & Meeting Facilitation** : Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects and facilitate effective meetings.

    + **Communication Skills** : Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on clarity, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.

    + **Analytical Thinking** : Skilled in breaking down user stories into actionable components—identifying key actors, processes, and systems to drive clarity and execution.

    + **Agile Tools Experience** : Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, particularly within Scrum and Kanban frameworks.

    + **Project Management Platforms** : Familiarity with tools such as Trello, Jira, or similar project tracking systems.

    + **MS Project Proficiency** : Experience using Microsoft Project for planning and tracking project timelines and deliverables.

    + **Travel Flexibility** : Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

    + **Microsoft 365 Suite** : Proficient in OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel, and other core Microsoft tools.

    + **AI Productivity Tools** : Experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-enhanced productivity tools is a plus.

    + **Prompt Engineering & LLMs** : Familiarity with large language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity) and the ability to craft effective prompts to support project work and innovation.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $87,480.00 - $131,280.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
