+ May 4 – August 7, 2026
+ May 11 – August 14, 2026
+ May 18 – August 21, 2026

Job Summary
Corewell Health is seeking a talented and motivated intern to join our Claims Value Stream for the Summer 2026 semester. As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders, and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the development lifecycle.
This team’s work is focused on claims payment integrity and accuracy. The work our team does reduces provider and member abrasion, ensuring claims get paid correctly and timely for our members so they can focus on what matters most: their health.
Our culture is active, friendly, fun, innovative, fast-paced, collaborative, and requires in-person meetings at least three times a month.
Essential Functions
+ Participates enthusiastically in all phases of design, development, and testing of new or updating software features.
+ Actively participates in our Agile team which includes attending our daily standups, story refinements, sprint retrospectives, and program increment planning.
+ Assists with testing.
+ Assists with creating testing scenarios.
+ Updates documentation.
+ Assists with identifying and keeping track of bugs.
+ Prepares summaries for action items.
+ Researches internal tools.
+ Drafts communications for internal updates.
Qualifications
Required
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Senior students are also eligible.
+ May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
+ Analytical thinker - given requirements, able to identify different scenarios.
+ Attention to detail - is inquisitive and constantly ask the right questions to grow and improve processes
+ Problem solver – can troubleshoot defects
+ Communicator - able to clearly articulate status, and communicate any issues to the team clearly
+ Collaborator – can work with an Agile team
Preferred
+ Familiarity with Python, C#, SQL, GitHub, Angular, and AWS
