    POSITION TITLE: Plant Assembly Utility

    JOB CODE: 19-191

    DEPARTMENT: Assembly

     

    REPORTS TO: Supervisor-Assembly

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Performs all duties on the assembly lines and/or operating a Powered Industrial Truck to provide plant wide support when needed. Tests and repairs ranges. Trains new associates on job tasks and assists in follow-up of quality issues. Troubleshoots functional defects. May backfill for associates who must repair workmanship errors. May back fill for absenteeism.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC SKILLS:

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Must achieve Powered Industrial Lift Truck certification within 6 months of hire.

    + Must achieve EMS Yellow Gear Certification within 30 days of hire and EMS Green Gear Certification within 12 months.

    + Communicates clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.

    + Able to work directly in insulation.

    + Able to operate rework and repair equipment.

    + Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

    + Able to stand for the majority of the shift.

    + Able to work with minimal supervision.
