Responsibilities
The MRI/CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) exams in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. This role involves preparing and positioning patients, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring accurate post-exam processing. The technologist provides basic patient care, maintains accurate records within the PACS/HRM system, and ensures a positive experience for patients throughout the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities
+ Prepare and position patients for MRI and CT scans in a safe, comfortable, and efficient manner
+ Operate MRI and CT equipment to capture diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
+ Assist physicians with procedures and attend to patients' needs post-exam
+ Ensure safety precautions are followed for patients, including screening for contraindications
+ Perform post-exam documentation and maintain accurate patient information in HRM/PACS systems
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper equipment maintenance
+ Deliver compassionate, high-quality care and patient service
Qualifications
+ Education:
+ 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
+ Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program. required.
+ Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification:
+ NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
+ NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
+ Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
+ IV Credentialed, required.
+ Applicable state license, required.
+ Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
