Senior Manager, Site Quality Manager** **(Onsite)
Job Summary:
Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Quality Manager for our Rockford manufacturing site. This role is critical to establishing standard work for quality processes and driving improved tactical execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for instilling quality management system fundamentals, driving results, and addressing the unique challenges of transitioning large programs into production. Cross-functional collaboration and effective communication are keys to success in this role, as the Site Quality Manager will work closely with various departments to maintain and improve quality standards within our Integrated Mission Solutions portfolio.
What You Will Do:
+ Quality Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure that all products comply with relevant regulatory, industry, and contractual requirements. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality processes.
+ Audits and Assessments: Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100). Prepare for and support external audits by regulatory bodies and customers.
+ Standard Work: Create and implement standard work procedures for key quality processes. Ensure consistent application of quality controls and best practices across the site.
+ Quality Metrics and Reporting: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product quality. Prepare and present performance trends to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and improvement opportunities.
+ Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA): Responsible for effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA. Lead investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
+ Strategic Initiatives: Lead the execution of quality initiatives and projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic objectives.
+ New Product Introduction (NPI): Execute quality plans for the successful introduction of new products, including risk assessments, process validations, and first article inspections, to ensure that new products meet all quality and performance criteria before full-scale production.

Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
+ Proven track record of successfully leading quality initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
+ Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
+ Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with NASA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per NASA’s regulation SUBPART 1835.5 Drug- Free Workforce
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ CORE Champion or Expert certification.
+ Experience with APQP / AS9145.
+ Familiarity with aerospace or defense industry standards and practices.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
