Job Details:
Partner Marketing at CLIENT plays a critical role in successfully driving our solutions to/through/with the partner ecosystem as routes to market in reaching customers in the marketplace. As a Partner Marketing Manager, you work in partnership with Sales, Corporate Marketing, and strategic channel partners, to understand the channel community, customer needs, market trends and industry environments to create awareness and demand for CLIENT solutions.
The Partner Marketing Manager is a strategic position that works to integrate CLIENT's marketing strategies and sales goals into the solution provider’s go-to-market plan. This role owns a set of strategic Partners (VARs) and manages the day-to-day relationship with them to develop joint marketing plans and drive alignment of CLIENT focused priorities.
The right candidate will be a proactive, forward thinking, collaborative marketer with a consistent track record, thrives on solving challenges creatively and adept at navigating ambiguity. Success is achieved when marketing investments are well planned and programs are maximized, enabling CLIENT's and their key Partners to reach their revenue targets. This position reports to the Head of North America Partner Marketing and works on a day-to-day basis with the partner sales organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Work directly with assigned partners and CLIENT's regional partner sales team to define and develop strategic and tactical marketing plans that align with corporate priorities, partner’s go-to-market directions, and regional sales goals.
+ Develop strong relationships with Partners (VARs) and act as the marketing liaison with CLIENT corporate and partner marketing
+ Define and manage priorities for marketing activities including integration of CLIENT key solution areas, partner marketing campaigns and programs, and measurable outcomes.
+ Act as trusted advisor to strengthen working relationships with cross-functional teams - corporate marketing, field marketing, partner/field sales and the programs and operations teams
+ Monitor plans, track results and create reports on marketing activities for sales impact and overall success.
Experience:
+ Proven success in channel marketing in high-tech environment, having worked directly with VARs in developing marketing plans and creating demand to/through partners
+ Understands the direct and indirect sales model and VAR dynamics, motivations and business model
+ This role will require strategic thinking, creativity, well-developed intuition and hands-on execution skills to be successful
+ Ability to manage diverse partner relationships and expectations, while maintaining CLIENT' s business priorities
+ Ability to influence across a layered organization at different management levels internally and with partners
+ Flexibility and adaptability to pitch in on a multitude of projects that may include internal/external partner communications, campaign development, project coordination, social media and budget management
+ Competency in analyzing data and reports to gain insights, identify trends and summarize findings to produce executive level summaries
+ Exceptional communicator. Strong oral and written communication skills with confidence in presenting points of views at all levels.
+ Highly motivated, self-directed individual who has a sense of urgency and a 'can do' attitude
+ Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including the ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge to current problems
+ Team player with excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage multiple tasks from conception through implementation
+ Ability to travel within the US and/or Canada (~5% - 10%)
Qualification and Skills:
+ Experience in high tech channel marketing a strong plus
+ A Bachelor of Art or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.
+ Sales experience is a plus, IT sector experience is a strong plus
