    About the Role:

    As a CBRE senior accountant, you will assist the Accounts Receivable and Payable department with high-level data entry tasks.

     

    This job is part of the General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Review billing transactions, verify the collection of payments, and send statements.

    + Verify lockbox receipts, terminations, and security deposits. Ensure they are entered properly into the system.

    + Post cash receipts, and review applications for open and prepaid credits. Schedule recurring billings and statements.

    + Manage data including recording payments and tracking deposits and credits.

    + Review invoice information, void and cut manual checks, and audit accounts payable trail.

    + Help with paperwork at the end of the month, such as copying, organizing, and binding reports and creating and maintaining financial files for the reporting team.

    + Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval.

    + Evaluate and select solutions from established options.

    + Impact the team through the quality of the services or information provided.

    + Follow standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance.

    What You’ll Need

    + High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience. Knowledge of accounting fundamentals.

    + An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.

    + Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.

    + Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.

    + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

    + Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.

    + General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. or complicated information within the team.

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the senior accountant position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for the senior accountant position is $85,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
