    Job Description:

    BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented **Roadway Engineer Intern** to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to large-scale engineering projects and gain practical experience in a highway and roadway design. By joining Parsons, you’ll be part of our well-established Summer Internship Program with 170+ interns nationwide. This internship offers a unique opportunity to build real-world experience, make a meaningful impact on our organization and communities, and take important steps toward advancing your career.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    + Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

    + Assist with the geometric design of highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, superelevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.

    + Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.

    + Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.

    + Provide technical guidance and input to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers working on the project team.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project delivery.

    + Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills

    + Eager to learn, self-motivated, and flexible

    + Excellent organizational and management skills

    What Desired Qualifications You'll Bring:

    + Working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation is a plus

    + Prior transportation or infrastructure engineering internship experience preferred

    + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

    Salary Range: $21.88 - $38.27
