Your day at NTT DATA
We are seeking an experienced and visionary 'Senior Director, Insurance Capability Office' to join our Global Insurance Advisory Practice. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and managing the consulting capability engine that powers our advisory services across Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Annuities (L&A) insurance segments.
As the Senior Director, you will drive the development of consulting frameworks, domain-specific capability assets, and reusable accelerators. You will also serve as a Product Owner for key insurance business solutions, working closely with domain, technology, and delivery leaders to enable scalable, differentiated offerings for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Consulting Capability Development
+ Design and evolve consulting frameworks, methodologies, and maturity models for core insurance functions (e.g., underwriting, claims, policy administration, actuarial, new business, policyholder services).
+ Create and maintain domain-specific capability models and business architecture assets tailored to P&C and L&A carriers.
+ Standardize assessment templates, diagnostic tools, and transformation playbooks to be used across client engagements globally.
Solution Leadership & Product Ownership
+ Act as **Product Owner** for business solution development within the insurance advisory practice, collaborating with cross-functional teams including technology, analytics, and digital innovation.
+ Define and prioritize the solution roadmap, backlog, and user stories for key insurance offerings (e.g., agentic underwriting, claims modernization).
+ Ensure continuous enhancement of business solutions based on client feedback, market trends, and internal innovation.
Asset & IP Management
+ Create a repository of reusable consulting assets, POVs, frameworks and accelerators to enable consistent delivery and faster time-to-value.
+ Work with internal IP governance teams to ensure proper cataloging, version control, and knowledge sharing across global teams.
+ Drive adoption and training of reusable assets across regional advisory and delivery teams.
Strategic Collaboration & Practice Enablement
+ Partner with practice leads, industry advisors, COEs, and alliance teams to align capability development with market needs and go-to-market strategies.
+ Support proposal development and pursuits with customized capability models and solution concepts.
+ Mentor consultants and SMEs in the effective use of frameworks and tools developed by the capability office.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Technology, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
•Required experience:
+ **10+ years** of experience in insurance consulting, enterprise architecture, or solution development roles.
+ Strong understanding of both **P&C** and **L&A** insurance domains, with a firm grasp of operational processes, regulatory context, and digital innovation trends.
+ Proven experience building or managing consulting frameworks, domain assets, or insurance business solutions.
Preferred Skills
+ Ability to create insurance domain Point of views, frameworks and collaterals by understanding best practices and challenges in execution
+ Exposure to modern insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Vitech, Majesco, EIS, Duck Creek) and emerging InsurTech ecosystems.
+ Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leadership across global, cross-functional teams.
+ Excellent documentation, communication, and training skills to evangelize capabilities across the practice.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The range for this position is **$225K - $250K plus variable bonus** . This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered. Company benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending or health savings account, life, and AD&D insurance, short-and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally required benefits.
