Description:
Come join the Facilities team at Johnson Memorial Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.
Position Purpose:
Install, service and maintain all refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heating equipment in accordance with standard trade practices, applicable codes and safety regulations. Responds to HVAC/Refrigeration calls on a continual basis. Work on complex problems that may involve a modification and partial redesign of an HVAC or refrigeration project.
What you will do:
+ Performs various duties to operate, maintain and repair equipment to provide heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
+ Installs pipes, fitting, fixtures and controls for new installations of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation equipment and systems.
+ Repair HVAC and Refrigeration Systems/Equipment.
+ Troubleshooting HVAC/Refrigeration equipment.
+ General responsibilities of HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic.
+ Contributes to the productivity and efficient operation of the Engineering Department.
+ Contributes to the philosophy of quality care and human dignity at the hospital.
+ Contributes to the effective operation of the hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent plus formal training in refrigeration, heating and air conditioning.
+ Training in electronic/electrical/pneumatic controls is required.
+ State of Connecticut license D-1 or S-1.
+ Minimum of 5 years' experience with installation, repair of refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems, including digital and pneumatic controls.
+ Familiar with air balancing equipment and procedure.
