    Maintenance Technician / Mechanic - $2,000 Sign-On Bonus!

     

    **Location:** Nashville, TN

     

    Pay:** $29.83/hr · **Full Time

     

    Join **WeGo Public Transit** , Nashville's transit system, and keep the city moving! We're looking for skilled mechanics to inspect, diagnose, and repair our fleet of diesel, hybrid, electric, and gasoline buses.

     

    What You'll Do

     

    + Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on buses and heavy equipment.

    + Diagnose and service engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.

    + Use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot complex issues.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

    + Support occasional field and emergency road repairs.

    • What We're Looking For

    1. **High School Diploma or GED** (required).

    2. **3+ years of experience** or formal training in diesel/automotive repair - or completion of an apprenticeship program.

    3. **Valid TN Class A License with "P" Endorsement** (or ability to pass CDL permit tests).

    4. **Refrigeration License** (for fleet HVAC systems).

    5. Ability to work varied shifts - weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
