Network Operations Engineer (L1/L2)

Role Summary:
The Network Operations Engineer (L1/L2) is responsible for proactive monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and operational support of Meta’s global network infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and performance of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and related devices across data centers, offices, and distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Monitor network alerts and alarms, triaging issues as they arise.
+ Perform SOP-based troubleshooting and incident resolution.
+ Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Shift Leads or higher-level engineers.
+ Track, update, and close tickets in accordance with SLAs.
+ Assist with configuration updates, patches, and vulnerability remediation.
+ Support scheduled maintenance activities under supervision.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and configurations.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 2–5 years of experience in network operations or IT support.
+ Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and/or Aruba technologies.
+ Familiarity with monitoring tools, ITSM platforms, and ticketing systems.
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.
