    Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Mainframe Developer - GA or NJ or WI or NE or TX to join their dynamic team. As a Mainframe Developer - GA or NJ or WI or NE or TX, you will be part of the IT support and development department supporting critical treasury applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to collaboration, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    Job Title: Mainframe Developer

     

    Work Locations: Alpharetta, GA | Atlanta, GA | Frisco, TX | Dallas, TX | Omaha, NE | Lincoln, NE | Wisconsin (Various Locations) | Basking Ridge, NJ (100% Onsite)

     

    Position type: 6+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of mainframe COBOL-based treasury applications, including ACH/PEP+ and ARP/SMS systems.

    + Maintain and support high-complexity payment processing applications within the Mainframe environment, providing rotational 24x7 incident response support.

    + Develop and support file transmission setups and data transfer programs, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, improve operational processes, and enhance system performance.

    + Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity exercises, ensuring system resilience and readiness.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in production operational support.

    + At least 5 years of experience in Mainframe application development using COBOL, JCL, CA7, VSAM, DB2, MQ, and other IBM utilities.

    + Proficiency with file transmission protocols and tools such as Connect:Direct (NDM), SFTP, and IBM Sterling File Gateway.

    + Experience applying ITIL best practices for service operations, including incident, problem, change, and root cause analysis.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
