    Senior Sourcing Analyst - Nuclear

    About The Position

    The Senior Sourcing Analyst - Nuclear supports and coordinates procurement/sourcing activities among engineering, operations, and corporate services organizations. This position will report to the Callaway Energy Center.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Measure, analyze, and understand complex business issues.

    • Work with cross-functional teams in the development, review and issue of RFI and RFQ, analyze proposals, negotiate and structure contracts, and create purchase orders.

    • Gather data and conduct analysis to determine demand for materials/services.

    • Structure RFQs and unbundle proposal costs in order to understand total cost of ownership (TCO).

    • Coordinate development of material, equipment, and service specifications to be included in procurement/sourcing RFQs.

    • Assure purchased goods and services are obtained on a timely basis at lowest TCO to Ameren.

    • Negotiate with suppliers and contractors maximizing the value to Ameren.

    • Assist engineering, operations, and corporate services organizations in selection of materials and services, keeping them advised of new developments as appropriate.

    • Perform special projects and other related duties as needed.

    • Practice/execute the core competencies of: supply chain management, business & financial acumen, leadership & project management, supply chain information technology, contracts & contract law, supplier risk management, and communication.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in Engineering, Economics, Finance or Accounting. Master's degree in business administration preferred. Three or more years of nuclear procurement experience preferred.

    In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

    Understanding of procurement/strategic sourcing, accounts payable, work management and financial systems applications (e.g., Oracle Purchasing, accounts payable, EMPRV, CBS) and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Ability to design and RFP, negotiate agreements, and achieve results while effectively managing associated organizational change is preferred. Demonstrated ability to utilize the strategic sourcing process, as well as have a basic understanding of contract terms and conditions preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access into the plant.

    Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

    Compensation Range:

    $88,500.00 - $137,200.00

     

    At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
