ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following: other duties may be assigned as needed:
+ Prepare storage areas prior to receiving activities; rotate stock as needed.
+ Coordinate with the shipping office clerk to assign dock doors when required.
+ Inspect each pallet/bin of meat for visible damage, defects, or signs of tampering.
+ Tag pallets/bins with proper labels and move product to designated storage areas.
+ Maintain storage, racking, and product identification systems.
+ Complete all required Kayem paperwork and enter product into the Kayem AX system using a scanner.
+ Perform inventory checks and product transfers within the AX system.
+ Work in freezer environments as required.
+ Utilize AX, Excel, and Word for reporting and recordkeeping.
+ Report delivery or inventory issues to buyers.
+ Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary warehouse environment.
+ Clean warehouse areas as needed.
+ Communicate effectively via radio, phone, and email.
+ Assist with training new employees & procedures.
+ Learn and perform picking and high-lift jobs in the downstairs warehouses and building, as
+ needed.

+ Comply with all HACCP, OSHA, USDA, SSOP, and GMP requirements.
+ Maintain a safe work environment and enforce proper safety practices.
+ Prepare production materials and supplies.
+ Perform other related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE:
+ High School Diploma or GED, plus at least three months of related experience or training.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
+ Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and knowledge of Excel.
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
+ Licensed to operate a pallet jack, with the ability to obtain forklift and high-lift certification.
+ Basic computer skills and willingness to learn purchase order receiving processes.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
+ Ability to work in refrigerated environments (35–40 degrees) for the full shift.

Pay Range
The base pay range for this role is $19.75 USD/Hourly
The listed salary range represents Kayem Foods’ good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire pay ranges.
Ranges are reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for an annual wage review. Kayem Foods complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
