Production Worker - Packing - 1st shift

SUMMARY:
Responsible for producing product in a productive manner, delivering quality results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Visually inspect the product for any non- conforming areas, and set aside any non-conforming products
+ Ensure adequate quantities of product are supplied to fill orders
+ Maintain working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing specifications, and labeling requirements
+ Ensure clean, sanitary, and safe work practices, tools, and area
+ Maintain knowledge of USDA and HACCP requirements
+ Flexibility to do all jobs on the line through rotation
+ Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
+ Other duties as assigned/needed
REQUIREMENTS:
+ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English
+ Have basic mathematical skills
+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment
+ Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment
+ Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
+ Previous food manufacturing experience a plus

Pay Range
The base pay range for this role is $18.45 USD/Hourly
The listed salary range represents Kayem Foods’ good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire pay ranges.
Ranges are reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for an annual wage review. Kayem Foods complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
