    SIX WEEK PRE-APPRENTICE MECHANIC POSITION!!

     

    Are you passionate about Tractor Trailers and eager to kickstart your career in the transportation industry? We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Pre-Apprentice Mechanics to join our dynamic team! We offer you the opportunity to try out this field with no commitment, after 6-weeks you have the opportunity to apply for a fulltime position with us or with one of our affiliates looking for individuals for long-term positions.

     

    Hourly Rate: $19.00Location: Weedsport, NYPosition: Mon-Fri / 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

     

    Job purpose

     

    The Direct Entry Pre-Apprentice Mechanic is introduced to learn basic understanding, repair, and maintenance of entry level tasks for vehicles and equipment over a six-week period. Successful candidates for this program can apply and interview for a position in the registered apprentice program and/or to open positions in the shop.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Classroom training on the industry and tasks to get you prepared to enter the shop

    + Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot issues

    + Perform routine tasks such as tire rotations, and brake inspections

    + Maintain a clean and organized workspace

    + Follow safety protocols and guidelines
