The Senior Quality Engineer carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems, products, and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. The Sr Quality Engineer’s work assignments will involve resolving issues with varying degrees of complexity where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of automated performance and security testing.
In this role, you will drive end-to-end test planning and execution and help our team scale our QA processes as our systems grow in complexity. The work expected in this role will be key in reducing risk, improving delivery speed, and maintaining high product quality.

The **Senior Quality Engineer** leads and performs advanced testing of multiple software applications within PBM to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and freedom from defects. This role involves designing and executing test plans, creating test data, documenting complex issues, and driving resolution efforts while reporting progress to management.
In addition to potential hands-on testing responsibilities, the Senior Quality Engineer is accountable for leading a team of testers, with a strong focus on test automation, refinement sessions, and user story definition. The role requires active participation and facilitation of all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and mentor a team of ~8testers in both manual and automated testing practices.
+ Drive the development and execution of automated test frameworks and strategies.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
+ Facilitate and actively participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure team alignment and delivery.
+ Document and resolve complex software issues, escalating when necessary.
+ Recommend and implement improvements to existing testing procedures and workflows.
+ Develop models and strategies for future system configurations and quality enhancements.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned areas, supporting technical writers and other stakeholders.
+ Conduct workflow analysis and propose quality improvements aligned with organizational goals.
+ Understand and align with departmental, segment, and enterprise strategies and objectives.
+ Make informed decisions independently, even in ambiguous situations, while adhering to established guidelines and seeking guidance when appropriate.

Required Qualifications
+ Requires Bachelor'sDegree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or other Technology related fields.
+ 5+ years’ technical experiencein software testing in Agile.
+ 5+ years’ experience in Agile environment – leading ceremonies with other testers.
+ 5+ years’ experience with test automation framework.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's Degree
+ Software QA certifications (i.e ISTQB)
+ Healthcare domain knowledge
WAH requirements
+ WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
+ A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
+ Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
+ A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$97,900 - $133,500 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
