TheIdaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS)is seeking acompassionateandmotivatedindividual for a Religious Activities Coordinator position at the Boise Veterans Home.
The ideal candidate will organize and coordinate religious and volunteer programs for residents at the Boise Veterans Home and perform related work.

Example of Duties
+ Plans, organizes, and coordinates religious and volunteer programs at a long-term care facility
+ Surveys religious needs
+ Establishes standards, policies, and procedures, and evaluates program performance
+ Coordinates programs and services such as study groups, prayer meetings, educational classes, and religious counseling by visiting religious workers
+ Provides religious counseling to residents
+ Maintains contact with families of residents
+ Serves as a liaison with community organizations and churches
+ Provides religious services on Sundays to residents
+ Plans and implements a program to recruit, train, place and supervise volunteer workers
Minimum Qualifications
+ Some knowledge of: Management practices; needs of institutionalized residents and their families.
+ Good knowledge of: Religious theory and thought; various religious denominations and their beliefs and practices; theory and methods of religious counseling.
+ Experience: Planning, developing, evaluating, and maintaining religious and volunteer programs; recruiting and training volunteers.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Completion of at least 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in program(s) accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC).
