Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to engage in detailed electronic design of microprocessor-based platforms and related analog/digital circuits. The role involves creating circuit designs after comprehensive analysis and utilizing schematic CAD tools such as Cadence OrCAD or Altium, alongside simulation tools like SPICE or HyperLynx.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct detailed design analysis on components and assemblies to ensure designs are cost-efficient, manufacturable, customer-focused, and reliable.

+ Gather technical data and prepare technical documents, including design verification test reports, written rework instructions, PCB placement and routing guidelines, and Analysis of Alternatives documents.

+ Maintain an organized history of design artifacts using a version control system.

+ Complete assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling constraints.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience with embedded systems and microprocessor-based design.

+ Experience with the functional aspects of product design, including understanding requirements, general electrical design analysis and documentation creation, design for manufacturing and testing, and design verification.

+ Experience leading teams, including engineers from multiple engineering disciplines.

+ Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.

+ Protocol-level knowledge of serial interfaces, including SPI, I2C, and UART.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with analog design concepts and design tools such as SPICE and HyperLynx preferred.

+ Experience with RF communications such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11), and cellular.

+ Experience with high-speed digital interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, SATA, etc. preferred.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite five days a week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
