    Job Description

    We are seeking a Full Stack .NET Engineer to assist in modernizing and transforming our legacy system. This senior -level role is ideal for engineers who can deliver results with speed, precision, and autonomy. It requires a high degree of technical fluency, ownership, and the ability to execute effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

    Responsibilities

    + Rapidly gain fluency in a 2M+ line VB.NET codebase, helping evolve it for today's needs.

    + Build and enhance our C# middle layer using Entity Framework Core.

    + Design and implement full-feature solutions alongside our product owner.

    + Triage and resolve critical, high-stakes bugs.

    + Own integrations with third-party APIs such as UPS, Vertex, FedEx, and Twilio.

    + Collaborate with other high-performing developers to raise the bar for the platform.

    Essential Skills

    + 6+ years of full stack development experience in VB.NET.

    + Proficiency in both legacy systems and modern C#/EF Core patterns.

    + Experience with legacy code migrations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Expertise in VB.NET, full stack development, C#, .NET, and SQL scripting.

    + Knowledge of C# / ASP.NET Core / Razor MVC, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server.

    + Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub Copilot.

    + Experience with third-party APIs (UPS, Vertex, Twilio, FedEx, Azure), RESTful API, REST API, and artificial intelligence software.

    Work Environment

    The development team works 100% remotely but requires occasional on-site collaboration within a 4-hour drive of Nicholasville, KY. The team consists of four developers and does not follow any formal project management methodology. This role involves heavy collaboration with the manager and software architect. The small development team optimizes AI and leverages it in almost every role.     This is a Contract to full-time Hire position based out of Nicholasville, Kentucky. Must be located in a 4 hour radius of Nicholasville, KY. This is remote with occasional in person office meetings.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $63.00/hr.
