Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Job Description
The Geotechnical Engineer will perform detailed geotechnical analyses and design foundations, piles, and underpinning systems. The role involves preparing technical reports, proposals, construction documents, and correspondence, as well as supervising field investigations and foundation construction activities. The candidate will manage multiple projects, including budgets, schedules, and progress reporting, while supporting project closeouts and other related duties.
Responsibilities
+ Perform geotechnical analyses and design for foundations, piles, and underpinning systems.
+ Prepare technical reports, proposals, construction documents, and correspondence.
+ Supervise field investigations and foundation construction activities.
+ Manage multiple projects, including budgets, schedules, and progress reporting.
+ Support project closeouts and other related duties.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
+ 2+ years of geotechnical experience.
+ Experience with deep foundations, mass grading, ground improvement, and excavation support.
+ Strong technical writing and project coordination skills.
+ Familiarity with codes, regulations, and geotechnical software.
+ Strong communication and leadership abilities.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Advanced software proficiency in geotechnical modeling tools and CAD platforms.
+ Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience guiding junior engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
+ Business development mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and build client relationships.
+ Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, presentations, and client interfacing.
+ Experience with regulatory agencies, permitting processes, and environmental compliance.
+ Flexibility and adaptability with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project challenges.
+ Commitment to safety and quality, demonstrated through past project execution and team collaboration.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $93000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
