Job Title: New Model EngineerJob Description

We are seeking New Model Simulation Engineers to join the Weld New Model Equipment team. This role focuses on design, equipment, and manufacturing feasibility, aiming to support the analysis of drawings from feasibility through the design phase. The objective is to ensure a product that can be manufactured within the factory's capabilities while collaborating with MMCs during the trial phase of new model development.

Responsibilities

+ Support feasibility studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts, and manufacturing processes, and report findings internally.

+ Identify past model problem history and suggest countermeasure activities based on best practices.

+ Collaborate internally to develop the most efficient manufacturing processes.

+ Ensure a robust design for mass production by combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics, and project targets. Verify 3D data for development.

+ Create and maintain all necessary documents for process, quality, robot/equipment, and training through New Model development.

+ Support physical verification of the vehicle during initial production at the factory while understanding factory capabilities and constraints.

+ Engage in collaborative problem-solving activities with team members and other business units, enhance personal capabilities through training, and share experiences with senior members. Learn about other factory areas.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

+ Experience with CATIA or 3D Modeling

+ New Model Automotive experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with CATIA V5 is a significant advantage.

+ Background from an Automotive Supplier is beneficial.

Work Environment

You will work as part of a team of approximately 64 engineers in the PEDx team. The role involves working within an R&D environment, as well as on-site at the plants. This is a long-term consultant-to-hire opportunity with potential for growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
