    Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management

    + Oversee daily operations and task prioritization for the CAD department.

    + Establish performance benchmarks, turnaround times, and KPIs; ensure accountability through regular performance reviews.

    + Lead quarterly initiatives focused on improving team output and scalability.

    + Participate in hiring decisions, manage time-off approvals, and ensure coverage during absences.

    + Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members.

    + Conduct team and one-on-one meetings; regularly report to the COO.

    + Facilitate communication across departments, resolving conflicts while maintaining company policies.

    + Collaborate with other teams to design and implement new workflows or improve existing ones.

    + Contribute to departmental budgeting and resource planning.

    Technical Oversight

    + Manage the Forged program in partnership with the COO and Sales, including client consultations, scopes of work, material drawings, and revisions.

    + Ensure accuracy and quality of all factory shop drawings for Forged, custom, and new product designs.

    + Maintain and update CAD block libraries.

    + Oversee software licensing and subscriptions.

    + Coordinate with internal teams or external vendors to troubleshoot technical issues.

    + Define and enforce design standards and submission requirements.

    + Create and verify product specification sheets as needed.

    + Support new product development with design input and imagery.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Strong execution mindset with the ability to follow through on plans.

    + Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    + Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

    + Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D (Inventor).

    + Familiar with business tools such as NetSuite, Salesforce (Kanban), Outlook, Excel, and similar platforms.

    + Skilled in strategic and operational problem-solving.

    + Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

    + Open to learning new tools and methods to support company growth.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD design within a relevant industry.

    + Background in construction, architecture, manufacturing, or mechanical design is preferred.

    + Bachelor’s degree with a focus on design or related field.

    + Willingness to travel to Denver for training and quarterly meetings.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $60.00/hr.
