    Job Posting: Staff Project Controls Specialist

    About the Role

    We’re seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist to lead and support project controls across multiple initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in scheduling, cost management, and project planning tools, particularly Oracle Primavera P6.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead project controls setup in Enterprise Planning & Controls software.

    + Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

    + Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM) and follow execution plans.

    + Act as technical point of contact for project team inquiries.

    + Develop and maintain project schedules, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.

    + Build and manage multi-level schedules with logic ties.

    + Monitor resource loading and validate progress measurement.

    + Perform schedule what-if scenarios and consult on progress.

    + Analyze schedules using CPM, estimating, and forecasting techniques.

    + Review and ensure accuracy of schedule reports.

    + Input and document changes to cost reports and forecasts.

    + Approve purchase orders and subcontracts for proper coding.

    + Review upstream and downstream change orders.

    + Collaborate with Project Management and Accounting teams to review costs and support audits.

    + Present cash flow reports and maintain earned value management systems.

    + Conduct quality checks and field audits on project controls deliverables.

    + Assist with Project Forensic Analysis and perform material takeoffs.

    + Maintain progress curves and ensure compliance with company policies.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 3+ years of direct project controls experience.

    + Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

    + OSHA 10-hour safety certification (or ability to obtain).

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $66.00/hr.
