Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description
Join a dynamic team within the Automotive Market Quality division as a Quality Engineer. This role focuses on conducting activities to support the achievement of department performance metrics and targets, implementing countermeasures when necessary to ensure departmental success.
Responsibilities
+ Perform analysis of failed warranty parts and subject components and vehicles to test conditions to identify failures and simulate possible causes and influences.
+ Identify warranty problems related to design, manufacturing, or sales/service influences, promote and carry out investigations, and determine root causes.
+ Perform technical writing, documentation, and reporting, and present summaries to quality management.
+ Communicate with suppliers, design, and service teams to support problem investigation and resolution.
+ Work with responsible departments and suppliers to facilitate appropriate problem containment.
+ Support cost recovery efforts and negotiations by examining warranty data and associated analysis records meaningfully.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical) or equivalent related work experience.
+ 0-6 years of experience based on education.
+ Experience in the automotive industry.
+ Ability to investigate technical problems, derive conclusions from observations and data, and analytically approach root causes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Co-Op experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, transmission assembly, automotive repair, or automotive maintenance.
Work Environment
Work in a clean and quality-focused automotive environment. Engage with various technologies and collaborate with a diverse team to achieve quality objectives.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Marysville, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.00/hr.
