Engineering Technician About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to support our distribution operations. Under general supervisory direction, you will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment and process issues, performing and documenting machine maintenance procedures, and collaborating with engineering to enhance process reliability and efficiency. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
•Key Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance and calibration procedures; author related documentation.
+ Maintain inventory of spare parts and manage procurement needs.
+ Troubleshoot process, material, or equipment issues to reduce downtime and improve yield.
+ Conduct maintenance on automated PC and PLC-controlled equipment.
+ Design and implement improvements to process equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
+ Revise documentation and procedures to enhance product and process quality.
+ Collaborate with vendors to source and install new equipment and tools.
+ Support engineering with validation plans and reports.
+ Participate in Value Improvement Projects (VIP) and cost-saving initiatives.
+ Collect and analyze data to support process optimization and scrap reduction.
+ Partner with internal teams to improve material quality and delivery timelines.
+ Train and provide technical support to warehouse staff and fellow technicians.
Required Qualifications
+ 3–5 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
+ Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
+ Effective communicator and team collaborator.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience with 8–10 years in a related field.
+ Experience with automated conveyor and print/apply systems.
+ Proficiency in PLC ladder logic troubleshooting (Allen Bradley preferred).
+ Background in distribution or logistics environments.
+ Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $50.00/hr.
